Pedalo (paddle boat)

Pedalos (paddle boats) belong to the large category of human powered vehicles (HPV) and vary immensely in their form of appearance. Here, we didn’t just improve a single area but re-developed the whole concept.

We started off with a feasibility study. “Make or buy” was decided over and over for each component, thus creating a cost-optimized overall concept with the first prototype where we succeeded in combing divers production technologies. The processing of FRP components, steel and aluminium require an extensive knowledge of joining, connecting and adhesive bonding techniques. In the end, with a great deal of enthusiasm and commitment we had created a fast, muscle-driven water vehicle with unparalleled efficiency.
